Care Guide

For effective cleaning:

  1. Avoid harsh and abrasive chemicals, instead using cleaning products specifically for wood
  2. Use a lint-free microfibre cloth for a streak free result
  3. Ensure the surface is dust free, and spray cleaner onto the cloth
  4. With long clean strokes, apply the cleaner and wipe off excess

Tip: Avoid using any citrus-based products on wooden furniture — the citrus acts as a stain or finish stripper on wood products.

Referred to by many as the “master of the chair”, Wegner designed more than 500 of them over the course of his career. At the same time both modern and classic, the Elbow Chair Replica has an understated beauty that is timeless. This stylish and simple design epitomises Wegner’s world view and skill for minimalism. Also known as the CH20 chair, the Elbow Chair was originally designed in 1956 and displays those clean, iconic lines typical of the 1950s and 1960s. This replica of the Elbow Chair retains this feeling elegance and exclusivity while maintaining exceptional comfort and stability.


Its characteristic rounded bent backrest provides elbow and back support enabling a variety of sitting positions. It features a practical padded seat cushion upholstered in an easy wipe-to-clean PU vinyl. Constructed with natural Ash wood, each chair will vary slightly in colour, texture and grain pattern, ensuring each piece is unique.

Typical shipping times are up to 7 days for North Island deliveries, and up to 10 days for South Island deliveries from the time the order is dispatched. Rural RD shipping may take longer. Weather and unforeseen circumstances can impact shipping times.

  • Care must be taken in how things are packed for freighting; we’d rather things arrive in the new condition they were shipped as opposed to being damaged in transit
  • You will be sent tracking data when your order is dispatched
  • Freight companies take longer with Rural (RD) deliveries, we find most RD customers know the drill and area aware of this.
  • Orders typically leave ByDezign within 3-business days

Our return policy lasts 30 days. To be eligible for a return your items must be:

  • Unused in brand new condition
  • Have tags still attached
  • In original packaging

Sale Items: Only regular priced items are eligible for refunds.

Payment Processing Fees: Fees associated with processing the payment are non-refundable, unfortunately we can’t do anything about this as that is the industry standard for payment processing companies.

Return Shipping: We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Regrettably, due to the high cost of domestic freight in New Zealand, we are unable to provide free return shipping for change of mind returns. This is the only way we are able to offer our free delivery promotion in the first place. We genuinely wish this could be different, but please know that we have to strike a balance between the best possible service while managing operational costs to ensure our prices remain competitive.
