Frequently Asked Questions


We do our best to ensure that our photos are as true to colour as possible. Every computer monitor/screen has a different capability to display colours and thus everyone sees these colours slightly differently. In addition, due to each individual user’s monitor/screen settings & calibration being wildly different, ByDezign cannot accept responsibility for any colour or design differences that are not factory faults.
Any returns for a product due to customer dissatisfaction with a finish, that is not a fault, will need to comply with ByDezign’s returns policy.

Orders with a value of over $500NZD qualify for free shipping to main centre addresses. RD addresses are subject to surcharge regardless of order value.

For orders with multiple items, they may ship in separate packages and may arrive on different dates by a day or two. If you have received a shipping confirmation email but have only received a portion of your order, it is likely that it is referring to only a partial shipment. If you've only had one set of tracking details passed on to you then get in touch with us.

While we routinely export from New Zealand to the Pacific Islands, we currently do not ship internationally anywhere else in the world, including Australia.

Customers from Fiji, Tonga, Rarotonga, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Niue or any of the Pacific Islands, please get in touch with us at info@bydezignfurniture.co.nz for export options and sales agent contacts.

Our return policy lasts 30 days. To be eligible for a return your items must be:

  • Unused in brand new condition
  • Have tags still attached
  • In original packaging

Sale Items: Only regular priced items are eligible for refunds.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs to return your item. We do not offer free shipping for returns or exchanges. We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

When your order is shipped from the warehouse, you will automatically receive an email confirmation with tracking info. Items typically ship 2 business days from order placement. In general, larger volumetric items may take a bit longer than a smaller item you buy online that ships by courier service.

Once you receive tracking info, your item is in the hands of the carrier and we strongly recommend contacting them directly for transit status. Please allow up to 7 days for North Island delivery, and up to 10 days for South Island. Rural RD shipping may take longer than this.

We recommend collecting your order from us when on a mainland run, however, you can also get in touch with us to discuss and arrange shipping options.

ByDezign offers a minimum 1-year limited warranty on all products, 2-year limited warranty on NARDI manufactured furniture. Commercial use included unless specified otherwise.
