Modular Design
The Komodo’s modular nature and simple grid-based system allows for it to be arranged in any number of different ways. This functionality allows you to adapt your outdoor space if you’d prefer something more open plan for a larger gathering or something more intimate with smaller crowds of family and friends.
The Komodo Range offers great compositional flexibility. As it can be configured as desired depending on space, taste, and needs there are no limits to the number of design solutions you can accomplish, leaving the door open for you to add more Komodo elements to your collection in future.

How the Komodo works
Simple and intuitive grid-based system on which padded cushions, the armrests and backs can be attached on all sides, easily with the snap attachment method or the click in place method for the cushions.
These solutions avoid unsightly mechanisms and visible slots while retaining the smooth harmonious styling of the woven design on the seat and back.
THE PADDING
Comfort Cushion
The cushions bring an extra level of comfort to the sofa. They are attached to the frame so they won’t slip or move around when in use. Cushions are water and mould resistant, with the covers zipping off allowing them to be machine washed
Acrylic Fabric: 100% yarn dyed acrylic, 5/8 light fastness, washable at 30°, dirt repellent and anti-mould treatment.
Sunbrella® Acrylic Fabric: 100% Sunbrella® acrylic fiber mass dyed – (50% blended Sunbrella® acrylic fiber mass dyed, 47% Sunbrella® acrylic fiber mass dyed, 3% polyester only for Jungle Sunbrella® fabric), 8/8 light fastness, washable at 40°, water repellent treatment, dirt repellent and anti-mould treatment.
Seat Cushions: 18cm Thick, Padding: polyurethane foam (density 29 kg/m3) with a polyester fiber coating (density 450 gr/m2).
Back Cushions and Corner Back Cushions: 22cm Thick, Padding: polyurethane foam (density 21 kg/m3) with a polyester fiber coating (density 450 gr/m2)
Note: With UV conditions being as they are in New Zealand, it is recommended that you store the cushions out of the sun when not in use. This will prolong their lifespan and keep them in better condition for longer. As good quality as the fabric is, the UV conditions we experience are basically fabric kryptonite and will degrade any fabric over time.
Cushion Cleaning:
NARDI manufactured cushion covers, and Sunbrella manufactured cushion covers are equipped with zippers and can be easily removed for cleaning. These can be machine washed at 30 degrees water temperature. Brush dirt off regularly when your outdoor cushions are dry. Most stains can be combated by sponging lightly with mild soap and lukewarm water. Carefully following the instructions, fabric spot remover can be used for more stubborn stains.
Mildew may grow on dirt or other substrates if cushions are kept in a constant wet or damp state. It’s highly recommended that you store outdoor cushions in a dry safe place such as your garage, shed or storage box when not in use. See all Cleaning Instructions
