The Rio Alu 140 is a simply beautiful outdoor dining table that seats 6 in its standard 1400mm length, with extendable functionality pulling out to 2100mm that comfortably seats 8. Manufactured with UV & weather resistant powder-coated aluminium. The Rio Alu 140 has a faux timber slat & woodgrain design that’s ultra-low maintenance and easy to clean.

Any item found to have a manufacturing defect will be repaired or replaced if a claim is made within the stated warranty period of 2-years from the date of purchase. Excludes damage due to improper use, abuse or negligence or use of unsuitable cleaning product.

Care Guide

This product is manufactured with polypropylene + a fibreglass component.

For effective cleaning:

  1. Wash the product with water to remove any surface dirt and dust.
  2. Spray the surface with a non-aggressive universal detergent.
  3. Leave the detergent to work for a few minutes, then wipe with a damp cloth or sponge.
  4. To remove stubborn dirt and surface marks, we recommend using a soft sponge
  5. Use a toothbrush to remove dirt from small spaces.
  6. Rinse with plenty of water and dry with a dry cloth.

Rio Alu 140-210 Extendable Table

The Rio Alu 140 extendable outdoor dining table, comprised of weather & UV resistant powder-coated aluminium. Its 1400mm native length comfortably seats 6 and seats 8 in its extended length of 2100mm. It’s narrower than standard 850mm width makes it perfect for more compact areas where patio or garden space is at a premium. Designed & manufactured by NARDI of Italy.

The Rio 140’s design pays tribute to its wooden predecessors with a timber slat look that’s got a faux wood grain – however, the Rio does not require the maintenance we’ve come to expect out of wooden furniture. To clean this ultra-functional and low maintenance outdoor dining table all that is required is a wet cloth and some mild soap solution.

The colour range stocked in NZ includes Charcoal, White & Taupe – a dark, light & mid option. These versatile neutral shades play well with a vast array of colour schemes & décor, you can slip one in as an accent colour or contrast it against its surrounds for a popping statement.

Stylish table & chairs

Lovely, stylish furniture. Looks great on my deck. Did need to call cause instructions were unclear. One chair arrived damaged but is being replaced. Probably had not anticipated that the dark grey table gets very hot in the sun so a hole for an umbrella would be a good addition.

His areas of specialization involve designing injection moulded plastic products, indoor & outdoor furniture, and stone & marble work.
His projects have been exhibited in prestigious museums & international events, as well as being published in books & magazines. He currently teaches design at the University of Ferrara.

Typical shipping times are up to 7 days for North Island deliveries, and up to 10 days for South Island deliveries from the time the order is dispatched. Rural RD shipping may take longer. Weather and unforeseen circumstances can impact shipping times.

  • Care must be taken in how things are packed for freighting; we’d rather things arrive in the new condition they were shipped as opposed to being damaged in transit
  • You will be sent tracking data when your order is dispatched
  • Freight companies take longer with Rural (RD) deliveries, we find most RD customers know the drill and area aware of this.
  • Orders typically leave ByDezign within 3-business days

Our return policy lasts 30 days. To be eligible for a return your items must be:

  • Unused in brand new condition
  • Have tags still attached
  • In original packaging

Sale Items: Only regular priced items are eligible for refunds.

Payment Processing Fees: Fees associated with processing the payment are non-refundable, unfortunately we can’t do anything about this as that is the industry standard for payment processing companies.

Return Shipping: We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
